West Power & Gas Limited (WPG) is a limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Established by highly experienced Nigerian and International companies, for the purpose of investing in, operating and managing electricity related business in the most reliable and professional manner for the benefit of Nigerian power consumers.

Wola is the Group MD/CEO of West Power & Gas Limited, the parent company of Eko Electricity Distribution PLC (EKEDP) and six other affiliate companies with interests in both conventional and renewable energy sectors. In addition to this role, she serves as the Director of the Power and Renewable Division at the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) in a non-executive capacity.
Prior to her current role, Wola was the pioneer Chief, Legal & Company Secretariat at EKEDP. During her tenure, she also held multiple key positions simultaneously including Head of Regulatory Compliance, Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, Supervising Chief of the Customer Service Department, and Data Protection Officer. Her previous experience includes roles as General Counsel/Company Secretariat Lagoon Home Savings and Loans, and Legal Associate at Banwo & Ighodalo.
Wola holds a law degree from the University of Ibadan, an LLM in International Finance Law from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from INSEAD Business School. She is also an International Finance Corporation (World Bank) Board Evaluation Certified Professional and Corporate Governance Trainer.
Wola’s achievements have earned widespread recognition. Most recently, she received the inaugural Leadership Excellence Award of the Year at the Legal Era Africa Awards 2024, becoming the first-ever recipient of this category. The award celebrated her historic transition from General Counsel to Group MD/CEO, a milestone applauded for redefining leadership pathways in the legal profession.
She was recognized among the Ascent Top 100 Career Women in Africa (2025), honored as the “INSEADer of the Month” in April 2024 by INSEAD Business School, and named one of the top 100 most inspiring women in Africa by the Enterprising Women Awards Africa, 2024. She was recently listed among 50 of Africa’s most inspirational female energy executives by Africa Oil Week (AOW).
Wola serves on numerous boards, providing advisory guidance on corporate and business matters. Her board memberships include the Women in Energy Network, the Electricity Law Reports (the first ever Electricity Law Report in Africa), Advocacy Committee of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Exponential Foundation Nigeria, Prime-Rose Nursery & Primary School & Jimi Tewe Foundation, Newswire Law & Events Magazine, and the Public Affairs.
She is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria. Additionally, she is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, and Women in Management, Business, and Public Service.
Nosa Igbinedion is currently the CEO Westpower and Gas Limited, the Majority owners of Eko Electricity Distribution Company, He is an energy sector leader with experience in Engineering, Business development, Policy Advisory services and Strategic Planning in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
Nosa is passionate about the energy value chain from feedstock to customers, setting trends and driving innovation. He hands on experience in identifying and executing business strategies that provide revenue assurance and operation efficiency for electricity utilities.
He has cognate experience working with government agencies, grid and off grid power procurement. Nosa has an impeccable reputation with stakeholders in the major areas of policy advocacy, reporting compliance, tariff computation and modelling, and general regulatory advisory.
He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, his first degree was in Chemical Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and he has earned a MBA with distinction from the Heriott Watt – Edinburgh Business School United Kingdom.

Chima Ochi is a seasoned legal and regulatory professional with over a decade of post-call experience. He currently serves as the Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer at West Power & Gas Limited. Before this role, Chima was the Head of Legal Advisory and Contracts at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP), where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and legal acumen.
Chima has an extensive background in Corporate and Commercial Law, holding an LLM and an MBA. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, further enhancing his contributions to corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
Chima’s career spans notable sectors such as power and infrastructure, banking and finance, intellectual property, real estate to mention but a few. In his current role, he is responsible for providing strategic legal counsel, regulatory oversight, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Chima has successfully led teams in drafting and negotiating critical agreements, including notable industry agreements such as CBN-NEMSF Transaction Documents, Power Purchase Agreements (both for On-Grid and Embedded Generation), Franchising Agreements, Distribution Use of System Agreement, Engineering Procurement and Construction Contracts to mention but a few. In addition, he has advised on a variety of legal and business issues to Boards and Investors.
Recognized for his interpersonal and leadership skills, Chima excels in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive business objectives. He has engaged in speaking opportunities and provided content analysis on key developments in the power sector, contributing to thought leadership in the industry. His ability to navigate complex legal frameworks and his keen attention to detail in regulatory matters is one notable attribute that Chima exemplifies.
In addition to his legal expertise, Chima’s interpersonal skills, including strong communication, negotiation, and team leadership, have enabled him to thrive in dynamic environments, consistently delivering value to both his team and clients. Tobi Olutayo serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at West Power and Gas Limited, responsible for developing and executing the company’s commercial strategy, driving revenue initiatives, and managing key partner relationships. He oversees contract negotiations, market analysis, and financial performance, ensuring the company’s commercial activities align with its strategic objectives. Recognized for his strategic leadership and deep industry knowledge, Tobi plays a crucial role in optimizing revenue through effective pricing strategies and managing commercial risks associated with power infrastructure projects and trading operations.
Tobi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School in Scotland. Additionally, he has completed specialized training in Supply Chain Management at Regenesys Business School in Sandton, South Africa, and USAID’s Power Africa – Nigeria Power Sector Program (PA-NPSP) in financial modeling and power purchase agreements.
Prior to his role as CCO of the WPG Group, Tobi served as Head of Power Procurement and Regulatory at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc, where he played a pivotal role in capacity contracts, tariff setting, regulatory compliance, and policy advocacy within the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI). His international experience includes roles as a Senior Sales & Marketing Executive at Pantheon International in the United Kingdom and as a Business Development Executive at Business School Netherlands (BSN).
Throughout his career, Tobi has demonstrated expertise in driving new business initiatives, optimizing revenue through effective business strategies and contract negotiations, and managing commercial risks associated with power infrastructure projects and trading operations. He is committed to enhancing customer satisfaction and retention by delivering innovative solutions and fostering long-term relationships.
Tobi’s achievements include successfully facilitating bilateral power contracts, implementing innovative business models, and facilitating both local and foreign investments in renewable energy. His dedication to sustainability, social responsibility, and integrated gas-to-power solutions underscores his role in advancing strategic growth and operational excellence in the dynamic energy landscape at West Power and Gas Limited.
Bello is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria [ICAN] with over a decade working experience across various industries and positions.
He is currently the Group Finance Manager of WPG Group,
Bello Haruna’s ten years and above working experience cuts across various industries and positions: He was Group CFO of IBBL Group, Finance & Corporate reporting analyst in Mecure Industries Plc, Finance & Tax Assistant in Africa PPP Advisory Service (UKNAIF projects), Finance Assistant in Sana Group and Associate Partner in Alexander Johnson & Co Chartered Accountants.
He has developed skills in Project finance, corporate reporting and strategy, tax management, risk management, internal & external audit, project management, treasury management, policy making and leadership. His diverse background makes him versatile and suitable for different environments and challenges.
